WEEEbrokers.com has been set up by Chronos Technology Limited to address the demand to meet WEEE and RoHS Directives.
WEEEbrokers is targetting users of professional electronic equipment, particularly in the telecom sector. We understand the restrictions to access, and the way your sites operate. Equipment is removed carefully to ensure that there is no disruption to nearby operational equipment.
WEEEbrokers has embarked on a partnership with global reprocessing specialist, Engelhard to undertake the processing of all affected products. Engelhard are a local organisation, just a few miles from the WEEEbrokers head office, who specialise in precious metal recovery. Like WEEEbrokers, Engelhard are comitted to meeting the new Directives and provide a full recycling service, including precious metals, recovery of scrap electronics and controlled recycling of base metals, plastic, glass and other scrap.
Engelhard carry an IPPC licence from the Environment Agency, and are also a Registered Carrier, with ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditation currently being sought.
WEEEbrokers will provide a managed recycling process from safe collection or removal of obsolete equipment, screening for re-use, through to processing end-of-life electronic scrap.
Together with parent company Chronos Technology Ltd, WEEEbrokers will administer a 'take back' scheme, tailored for all types of electronic equipment, as well as one of our specialist areas, telecom network synchronisation equipment, including equipment end of life management, to fully conform to all aspects of WEEE Legislation. At the end of the recycling process, WEEEbrokers will provide certificates and proof of collection, to clients for them to produce as necessary for conformance to the new European legislation.
WEEEbrokers have de-commissioning technicians who are fully covered for all Health and Safety, and insurance requirements, including entering specialist sites, climbing towers, safe removal and transportation of end-of-life equipment.
